A Multitude of Possibilities

A preview of the international exhibitors and the latest products for the contract business at imm cologne 2015

Whether the project calls for a stylish hotel design, an elegant bar interior or furnishings for a fashion store – from 19 to 25 January, the imm cologne will be showing a comprehensive offering of top-quality furniture and interior concepts for the contract business. A preview of some of the participating exhibitors from the contract business illustrates the wide-ranging inspiration that awaits architects, interior designers, contract furnishers and other planning professionals at the international interiors show:

Pure – Hall 10.1
Pure is the imm cologne’s traditional format for premium brands from the interiors industry. Many of the exhibitors from this segment specialise in equipping top-quality architectural projects – like Italian furniture label DOMITALIA, for instance, whose chairs and tables by renowned designers can be found in the interiors of numerous hotels and restaurants. The shapely seating by SCAB Design is also an excellent choice for contract projects: the weatherproof chairs are equally suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Italian carpet manufacturer Loloey makes exclusive and made-to-measure floor coverings for hotels and other contract interiors and will likewise be presenting its collections in Hall 10.1.

Pure – Hall 11.1
Italian manufacturer B&B ITALIA operates its own contract division for “turnkey” interior design and finishing solutions. In Hall 11.1, the company will be presenting new products from its three main collections B&B Italia, Maxalto and Outdoor. Weishäupl Möbelwerkstätten also has many years of experience in furnishing properties such as hotels and restaurants. The company’s extremely durable outdoor furniture cuts a stylish figure in both commercial and public spaces. Spanish design label Ondarreta also specialises in contract interiors and will be presenting its latest collections of elegant chairs and tables.

Pure – Hall 11.2
VONDOM will be showcasing its unusual furniture for hotels and other contract interiors in Hall 11.2. The Spanish manufacturer’s plastic seating adds attractive design accents to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Italian label Lapalma also collaborates with renowned designers: different materials and superb aesthetics make the seating ideal for use in a wide variety of contexts – including contract interiors. In big offices and hotels or the stores of well-known fashion brands, top-quality carpets by floorwear label kymo create the right atmosphere. And compelling quality is a hallmark of contract interior furniture from Walter Knoll too: its comfort adds the perfect finishing touch to projects such as offices, hotels, airports or cultural facilities.

Pure – Hall 11.3
Ligne Roset will be presenting premium design for contract interiors in Hall 11.3. The company has its own specialists for furnishing contract business projects such as hotels and public buildings. Upholstered furniture manufacturer ROLF BENZ also runs its own contract department as a special service to architects, interior designers and other planning professionals. Bielefelder Werkstätten will be showing hand-produced furniture for projects that call for top standards of quality and design, whilst ipdesign will be presenting furniture for sitting, relaxing and reclining. With its ergonomic design and high standards of comfort, the seating from the Dauphin Home collection is likewise ideal for contract interiors. And Team 7 from Austria will be showing a wide range of special solutions for the contract sector in the form of customised furniture made of natural wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Pure Textile – Hall 3.2
It is hard to think of any other product that has such a strong influence on the mood and atmosphere of a room as textiles – which is why they are in growing demand in the contract business right now. At the imm cologne 2015, premium manufacturers from this segment will be convening at Pure Textile in Hall 3.2. Here, the products presented by contract furnishers such as Création Baumann from Switzerland will include fabrics that have special acoustic properties and are therefore particularly suitable for open-plan offices. Premium Swiss textile manufacturer Christian Fischbacher will be showing sustainable collections made out of recycled PET bottles, and the textiles from JAB ANSTOETZ or the spring 2015 collection from the Soleil Bleu brand are also ideal for a wide variety of uses. The textile designs by Nya Nordiska feature a Scandinavian flair and are a popular choice for hotels, restaurants, cultural facilities and public buildings.

Pure Editions – Hall 3.2
In the Pure Editions segment – the imm cologne’s platform for creative brands with visionary products and product concepts – contract furnisher Vitra will be showcasing its latest products in a presentation that reflects the high design standards it is known for. In the same context, tradition-rich manufacturer Thonet will be presenting its new lounge furniture and a selection of its bentwood classics. Expormim from Spain, which will also be located in Hall 3.2, provides youthful design and elegant furniture for unusual projects such as the Generator Hostel in Barcelona. And Belgian label Quinze & Milan has long been known for innovative and surprising design that adds a special charm to the interiors of hotels, restaurants and other contract projects all over the world.
